Indonesian cuisine

The most important place in Indonesian cuisine is taken by rice (nasi) which is the basic ingredient of almost all dishes. Fish is often cooked together with bananas and tomatoes. The Indonesians use to serve food on large green leaves (we can use cabbage or salad leaves for this purpose). Although the Indonesian cuisine carries features of the Indian and Chinese cuisines, it still maintains it's own certain originality.
